There are places and moments that naturally inspire creativity. The rustle of leaves, the song of birds, the soft afternoon light – all of this creates an atmosphere where it becomes easier to open up to your own emotions and translate them onto canvas. It was in this very spirit that the idea of the “Malownicze” workshops was born – starting this September, they will be held regularly in Warsaw’s Skaryszewski Park, the green heart of Praga Południe.
The workshops are organized and led by Ada Antonik – an artist for whom art is not about theory, but above all about emotions and intuition. As she herself says, she has been painting since childhood, always with her hands covered in paints, pastels, or ink. That passion has stayed with her to this day. People are her greatest source of inspiration – which is why she mainly paints portraits. For Ada, the creative process does not begin with mastering technique, but with opening up to what flows from within.
Why “Malownicze”?
Ada created the workshops out of a heartfelt need – even though Warsaw offers no shortage of art classes, she found it difficult to discover ones that truly matched her own aesthetic expectations and provided a genuine space for creativity. “The atmosphere of a place is incredibly important to me. It determines how a painting comes into being. Creating is not only manual work, but also a mental and emotional process. That’s why I needed to design workshops that would be something more than just another painting lesson,” she emphasizes.
“Malownicze” is a workshop for everyone. It doesn’t matter whether someone has held a brush hundreds of times or has never attempted even a simple sketch. These are not educational classes in the traditional sense. They are about letting your creativity flow freely. Without pressure, without judgment, without the need for perfection. What matters most is what arises in the participant’s heart and mind.
What Do the Workshops Look Like?
Everything participants need awaits them on site: canvas, paints, brushes, and other art materials. There’s no need to worry about shopping or lacking supplies – just bring something to drink and an openness to a new experience.
Each session has its own unique atmosphere. Ada prepares so-called “painting objects” – loose inspirations that can serve as a starting point. These might be props, guiding themes, or color suggestions. However, there’s no obligation to use them – they are simply a helpful option for those who may not know where to begin. Thanks to these inspirations, the entire meeting gains a cohesive aesthetic – from the mood to the dominant colors in the space.
Participants work primarily on their own. The instructor does not interfere with their creativity but offers support – you can talk to her, share your vision, and she will help you bring it to life so that the final result on canvas reflects what you felt at the beginning. It’s an experience close to the authentic work of an artist, where freedom and intuition matter most.
Each participant leaves the session with their own painting – a unique artwork to take home and hang on the wall, as a keepsake not only of the creative process itself but also of the mood and the place in which it was created.
Creativity in Harmony with Nature
The first sessions take place in Skaryszewski Park – one of the most beautiful parks in Warsaw, where, in the shade of trees and by the water’s edge, it is easier to find peace and inspiration. It is a space that is itself a work of natural art – with alleyway perspectives, monuments and sculptures hidden among the greenery, as well as romantic corners perfect for quiet focus.
During the summer season, the workshops are held outdoors, while in winter they will move to intimate, inspiring interiors across Warsaw – with details announced regularly on the organizer’s social media profiles.
How Much Does It Cost?
The cost of a single session is 99 PLN. The price includes all painting materials as well as the canvas, which participants take home with them. It’s not just a workshop, but also a unique way to spend time surrounded by nature and people who – just like you – want to express themselves through art.
Registration and Information
To register for the workshops, simply send a private message on the instructor’s Instagram or Facebook, or get in touch via email: adaantonik.art@gmail.com. Dates of upcoming sessions will be announced on social media, so it’s worth following Ada’s profile to stay updated and not miss new editions.
“Malownicze” are workshops that offer freedom – the freedom to create, the freedom to be yourself, and the freedom to experience art in tune with your own emotions. If you are looking for a place to breathe, to slow down, and to find within yourself a space for expression, Skaryszewski Park and the canvas are waiting just for you.
